The staff will often provide plates with matching cups for all guests to use and plastic silverware will be placed at each place setting.
The party rooms can be rented by the hour, and most parents are quite comfortable with this allowance. If no other parties are planned that day, there is a good chance that the party room can continue to be used for longer if the parents find that they need to. Every guest is sure to bring a gift for the birthday boy or girl and parents find that the party rooms come in very handy to store gifts until they can be taken to the car.
Some skating rinks place personalized birthday boxes at the front door so that guests can place their gifts in them. This arrangement makes the party seem more festive because the birthday boy or girl is sure to be excited when they see it come into the party room shortly before the party starts. Parents can arrange to have large gifts sent directly to the party room on the special day. When the birthday party is over, party guests know that there will be hours of skating ahead of them and that makes the party seem more joyful to the celebrants and the parents too.
