There are many things that one needs to know when it comes to soccer finals. For example, when it comes to overtime in a game, it was at one time that there could be a tie at the end of a regulation game for boys and girls soccer games. The rules have changes a little because now the game is to be played to completion and one team will walk away the winner of the game. This can be decided by two different ways and it all depends upon what happens in the overtime allotment.

The rules now say that there will be a pair of ten minute overtimes. If at that time there is still no winner, the penalty kicks will then decide the game. If this method ends up being the chosen course to decide the game, there are five players picked from each team to perform the penalty kicks in soccer finals. Each player will take a turn with a kick at the opposing goalie to try and score. If for some reason the score is still tied at the end of the shootout, the same five players will continue with penalty kicks until a team scores.

This is an easy way to have a winner at the end of the game as opposed to just letting things end in a tie or to let the game go on indefinitely which of course be quite some time. If for some reason the soccer finale has to go into sudden death overtime, the teams are going to only have to two chances to try and score against the opposing team to avoid going into penalty kicks. Of course, if a team scores during the first sudden death, than the other does not need to be played.

Teams of course are not hoping to go into sudden death and would much rather win the game during the regular clock playtime. If however they need to go into overtime, each team is hoping that they will be the victor in the first ten minutes so that they do not have to take a chance on losing in the soccer finale. The longer you need to play the more of a chance you have of not coming out the victor and actually losing the game. This means that the teams are going to play hard and fierce throughout the game.

Soccer is a very fast and competitive sport so the players are going to give it their best to come out victorious in the soccer finale and avoid overtime at all costs. If for some reason you are at a game and they happen to go into sudden death, you are going to see that each team player is going to have the utmost concentration upon their faces so that their team can come out the winner. The goal here is to come out on top but to enjoy the game at the same time. So sit back and it is game on.
