Affiliate marketer guides are crucial tools to the success of any affiliate marketer as they allow the readers to quickly learn the tricks and tips from the professional marketers. I know from personal experience that getting started in affiliate marketing is a difficult process, and becoming proficient in it is far harder.
When I first started affiliate marketing I tried many different techniques such as bum marketing, article marketing, PPC marketing, and even forum and message board postings. I was trying to be patient and see my first profits but every time that I would spend a large amount of time and effort on a particular product or medium without seeing results I would get discouraged and then just move on the next technique that I had heard of. The problem is that without knowing how to actually implement these techniques to their fullest extent I was simply wasting my time, especially by spreading out to different unconnected resources.
Eventually I got the idea to buy a handful of $30 70 guides that I had researched extensively before hand and within the month I had already recouped about $200 I had spent on the guides plus $200 profit for my first month over $100 and since then I have made more money each month than the one previous. The reason this worked is because I looked for the guides that actually had techniques rather than gimmicks and taught skills rather cheats. I now have multiple successful websites, run approximately 20 blogs, and have become an expert writer in many fields.
When looking for a guide you should examine the landing page or sales page of the guide to see if it is actually written by an expert. There are many people that have made money by talking about subjects they are not familiar with and then tout themselves as experts within a given field because it will make them money. The guides that make promises such as make 100k a month with these proven methods! are not necessarily bad, they are just over promoting themselves. Anyone that truly thinks that they will magically make a six figure income working from home is simply naive, everyone in the world would be doing it if this method existed and then it would cease to be of any use. These guides do however show how the author makes this kind of money, and in doing so it enables the readers to make their own fortunes as long as they modify the skills taught to their own personality and skill set.
The key to success is to take knowledge from any source that you find, and modify it to fit your personal style. There is no guaranteed formula to make money but there are proven methods that have made some people money, so you just need to find a way to take what those before you have done and improve on it and you will be seeing a part time or full time income as long as you dedicate the necessary time and effort.
