All of us, who have tried camping for the first time, definitely know that the first time is not always the best. Since it is going to be a first time experience, unexpected things will happen. Planning things ahead is something that is positively going to save you from many headaches. Believe us, not planning can take you from one of the best experiences of your life, to something you are not going to want to do ever again. Here are some of our best tips for new campers.

First things first, check your budget. First time camping means you are going to have to buy new things that you probably do not have at home. Make a list of the most important things you will need to buy and their costs. Ask friends for best quality but best prices too. Check different options do not stick to the first thing you see just because it is attractive to your eye. Do not forget the little expenses that add up to be the most expensive ones. Think of the expenses you will have on the way to the place you have chosen and on the way back.

Make a list of the obvious and not so obvious things you will need. We all know camping means we will need a camping tent, a sleeping bag, a flashlight, a cooler etc. but what about those not so obvious things that will make your life easier. As we said, think of the unexpected things, like; too many mosquitoes, poisonous animals, bad weather, sun burn, illnesses and accidents. Our purpose is not to scare you, just keep these things in mind, so that you take the right stuff. If you do this, we know for sure it is going to be fun. Think of the things that you will need and that will make you feel more comfortable. Even if that means you have to take your pajamas because you cannot sleep without them.

How long will you be there? Do not forget the longer you stay the more things you will have to take. Make sure you take enough things, especially food and water. Make a chart of the things you will probably consume every day remember we might not mind wearing the same clothes for 2 days but our stomach certainly will ask for food every day. Keep in mind food needs special handling and temperature. Do not take food that you know might be aggressive with your stomach.
Your first time camping will surely define if you give it a try ever again or if you cross it out from your to do list of exciting activities.

Camping is great, it helps you with all that city stress and who knows, it might even be something you will want to do with your friends or family for a very long time. Do not forget to plan things ahead, keep your budget in mind and the time you are going to spend on your trip. Remember unexpected things always get in our way but if you are well prepared it will be harder for things to go wrong and easier for you to have fun.
